Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden title for nearly 30 months with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a former world number one, has endured a torrid period, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in especial - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Presently training with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
It is his maiden title following the Rome competition and initial on a hard court after March of 2023.
Victory also means he has secured 21 victories at 21 distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my children together, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," said world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his past six championship matches, featuring in that event earlier this year.
His counter-punching play style and regular emotional displays on court had prompted some to question if his skill to play at the elite level was finished.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, striving to approach the net and play assertively, reinforced by an better serving game.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, taking 4 of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players traded breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden tour victory, seized the initiative to create a third set.
He defended 4 initial chances in a tight deciding set before the Russian broke to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured victory with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
