Around twenty-five thousand residences in southeastern Queensland woke up lacking electricity on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events passed over the state, bringing strong winds topping 109 kilometers per hour.

Substantial Ice Stones and Widespread Damage

Residents reported giant hailstones reaching sizes of seven centimeters in particular locations. Meteorological experts verified that multiple regions across Queensland had been impacted by large hailstones.

Tomorrow was predicted as the heaviest precipitation period, with continued storm activity expected across various areas of both regions.

Health officials warned that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, particularly given the ongoing climate situation.
